Why Mallarauco?

The Mallarauco Valley is located in Chile's Metropolitan Region, an area renowned for its agricultural wealth and its privileged dry Mediterranean climate, ideal for growing figs with superior flavor, sweetness, texture, and aroma, while maintaining consistent quality.

Ideal climate for flavor: Warm, dry summers (25–35°C) concentrate natural sugars, while the high temperature range (warm days and cool nights) intensifies flavor, resulting in figs with exceptional sweetness, texture, and aroma.

The valley is irrigated by the generous Mapocho River through the Mallarauco Canal, which, together with advanced drip irrigation systems, guarantees fertile soils, efficient water use, and healthy, productive fig trees.

Located in Chile's Metropolitan Region and strategically located just one hour from the key ports of San Antonio and Valparaíso, the valley offers seamless export logistics, from farm to market.

Doblevalle Ltda. was founded in 2016 as a family business dedicated to the production and marketing of fresh figs in Mallarauco. We later formed a family microenterprise (FME) dedicated to exploring fig dehydration and its various possibilities. Today, nine years later, we remain dedicated with the same passion to paving the way for this specialty crop in Chile.
