Nutritional information

Nutritionally , if the fresh Black Mission fig is already a nutritious fruit rich in properties, by letting it dehydrate in the sun while still hanging on its branch, its profile is concentrated and enhanced , making it nutritionally dense , making its flavor more complex and profound .
Production process
Our Black Mission figs ( Ficus carica ) are grown in our own fields in the Mallarauco Valley . They are drip-irrigated and hand-harvested at their optimal ripeness for sale fresh.
For sale dehydrated, they are left to ripen and dry naturally in the sun on the tree, to maximize their sweetness and intensity of flavor.
They are then harvested by hand, sorted by size , and stored for sale or further processing into other products such as fig paste or coffee.

Probably the best fig in the world
Compared to other popular varieties such as Smyrna or Calimyrna, the Black Mission fig stands out in two key aspects of reliability:
High productivity : It consistently produces two harvests per year: an early harvest ("breba") and a plentiful main harvest. This guarantees a longer and more constant supply.
Self-pollination : The Black Mission variety doesn't require another tree or external pollinators to produce fruit. This eliminates dependence on external factors and reduces pollination-related risks, resulting in more uniform and predictable harvests.
