Naturally sun-ripened on the tree and dried at their peak ripeness for maximum sweetness and flavor intensity. Before packaging, the dried figs are softened with a brief burst of moisture. Sizes range from 20 to 30 mm in equatorial diameter, depending on the presentation.

Dried Black Mission figs turn a deep purple to black color, while retaining a thin, more elastic skin. The flesh intensifies in flavor and sweetness, becoming glossy with deep amber tones. The texture feels moist, soft, chewy, dense, and sticky-sweet, with a slight crunch from the seeds.

Ideal for eating on the go as a snack, they add depth to cereals and salads, and give character to baked goods and breads with their robust flavor.
